The band now features a full horn section to total a dynamic eight-member group. The band has been "makin' it groovy since 1970."

4:30-6:00pm Formerly 'Soul Kitchen and the Bull City Horns', no other band from the Carolinas, or the entire Mid-Atlantic region for that matter, dares attempt the intricate fusion of rhythm-section funk, 4-horn firepower and soaring vocals this band throws down each time they play live. A lot of bands have horns, but only Bull City Syndicate has the Bull City Horns!

“Blazing & Deglazing with Wine”
Come learn the three necessary steps in a basic sauté cooking method from Savor Hospitality’s, Chef Todd Mohr. Find out how to tell when to turn an item over in the pan and how to tell when it’s completely cooked. Finally, you’ll learn how to raise those brown bits on the bottom of the pan (the pan “fond”) to make a flavorful sauce for the item just cooked. On today’s menu: Chardonnay Honey Caper Chicken.

“Low Country Shrimp & Grits”
Join Dave Kranyik, Chef and Owner of Chef Dave's Cooking Classes and a local professional chef whose experiences include cooking at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville and The Capitol City Club in Raleigh. Chef Dave will create for you creamy stone-ground grits with sautéed shrimp, spicy Cajun sausage, red pepper and onions with white wine and garlic broth. Dave's teaching emphasis is to teach cooking techniques and recipes that can be done by any cook in any kitchen!

“From the Vine to the Pan”
Join Chef Todd Mohr from Savor Hospitality and learn the fascinating cooking method of braising! Learn how the acids in wine aid in tenderizing meats while adding flavors to any dish. You’ll witness a braising cooking method using white and red wines to create two different dishes: Chicken Marsala and Beef Bourguignon.
